The Patient and Family Library located in the UVA Hospital’s main lobby is a wonderful resource offered to all patients and their families during their hospital stay or visit. The services available in the library are there for in-patients, out-patients, and their family members alike, so be sure to take advantage of this resource no matter how long your visit is!
The library has certified medical librarians who are able to help you find easily understandable resources that you can trust to accurately answer your medical questions. If you’re having trouble understanding the resources, the librarians are qualified to explain them so you get all the information you need.
The librarians can also answer any general questions about the hospital and its services, help you get started in MyVue, and grant you access to any of the library’s other services. Check out the many services the library has to offer you during your visit:
So take a break and relax in the library’s quiet, open, and inviting space where comfy chairs and numerous resources are at your fingertips. Don’t be afraid to stop by or call them at (434) 924-3429 to ask questions! The library is open from 10:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday.
